Our statewide Hotline is open for new client interviews at the following times:

VLP receives thousands of phone calls every year and often our phone lines cannot handle the volume. (All phone numbers reach the same system; it will not help you to get through if you call a different number.) If you cannot get through on the phone or if you cannot call during the hours we are open, please contact us by mail.

Write the VLP: If you cannot reach us by phone, you may send a letter to:

Please include in the letter or email:

• your name       
• your mailing address, and              
• a phone number where we can call you between 9:00AM and 4:00PM during the week (please tell us the best days and times to reach you)

Please provide a brief description of your legal problem, but do not send us any legal documents.

Let us know if it is safe to write to you at your mailing address and if it is safe to leave a message at the phone number you provide.

Because many VLP callers are victims of domestic violence and we are concerned about their safety, we will not leave a message on an answering machine or with a person at your phone number and we will not write to you unless you give us specific permission to do so.

We will need to conduct an intake interview over the phone and will call you at the telephone number you provide.
