Maine Attorneys Saving Homes (MASH)

The Maine Attorneys Saving Homes, MASH, is a joint project of Pine Tree Legal Assistance and the Maine Volunteer Lawyers Project that coordinates pro bono referrals for foreclosure cases.

MASH was created with initial funding from the Maine Bar Foundation and the Maine Attorney General's Office to build capacity to respond to the foreclosure crisis. Private attorneys are an essential part of this support system. MASH offers several benefits that are designed to make pro bono work in this area more feasible. MASH participants will be expected to accept one pro bono case in this area of law each year.
